Customize homepage content in the theme editor
The homepage is often the first thing visitors see on your website, so it’s important that it is appealing and informative. With Shopify, you can easily customize your homepage content directly in the theme editor. The theme editor is a powerful tool that lets you change the look and functionality of your store without needing to write any code.
Step 1: Access the Theme Editor
To access the theme editor, go to your Shopify admin area and click on “Online Store,” then select “Themes.” Here, you’ll see a list of available themes for your shop. Click “Customize” next to the theme you want to edit to open the theme editor.

Step 2: Select Homepage
In the theme editor, you can customize various aspects of your store, including the homepage. To customize the homepage, select “Homepage” at the top of the editor. Here, you’ll find different sections you can edit, including the banner, product categories, text elements, and other areas.
Step 3: Customize the Content
Click on the section you want to edit to display the options. Here, you can edit or add images, text, links, and other content (depending on the type of section). There are also options to adjust the size and position of the elements.
Step 4: Preview and Publish
Once you’ve made the desired changes, you can preview them directly in the editor. You can also open options via the dots in the top left, where, after saving, you can view the page in a new tab by clicking “View” at the top right.
