What are Shopify Apps capable of?

One of the advantages of Shopify are the apps. There are actually few limits when it comes to apps. In the front-end of the store, functions can be added as desired. This is mostly done via Javascript functions and the theme.

Of course, the administration area can only be modified to the extent permitted by Shopify. I.e. buttons for functions or independent or new pages must be included in fixed places according to a certain pattern.

Your app itself is absolutely independent of Shopify’s infrastructure, residing on your own web server.

Interfaces to merchandise management via app

Merchandise management interfaces are probably one of the special types of apps. These apps manage the communication between your ERP system and Shopify. The scope can be different:
